While the peak of the Padang City Anniversary celebration is still a few months away, the spirit is already being ignited. BOM Run 2026 officially serves as the opening act for the entire series of City Anniversary events this year.

The vibrant Grand Launching was successfully held on Sunday (April 12) at the Youth Center. The Vice Mayor of Padang, Maigus Nasir, personally flagged off the fun walk participants as a symbol of the event's commencement.

The launch route has already caught everyone's attention -- starting from the Youth Center, passing through Jl. Bagindo Aziz Chan, Sudirman, Ahmad Yani, and stretching along the Padang Beach area (Danau Cimpago). This was just a warm-up for Uda Uni, but it offers a glimpse of how exciting the main event will be!

 

Sport Tourism: Targeting 10,000 Participants

This event is a major collaboration between the 3 Senior High School Padang Alumni Association (Ikasmantri) and the Padang City Government. With an ambitious target of 10,000 participants from across Indonesia, BOM Run is projected to be a driver for the local economy and a powerful sport tourism promotion for West Sumatra.
